In 2006 there was a natural disaster in Sidoarjo in East Java where a sea of hot mud came gushing from the ground from a mud volcano erupting, and tens of thousands had to flee from their homes. People still suffer from the toxic gases transpiring into the air.
The Dina Foundation opened a clinic in 2010, providing the victims with a better healthcare program and offering free treatment to the poorest. At the clinic people are offered dental treatment in addition to healthcare. Since 2012 the clinic has been self- sustained.
